Report: Female Killer Set to Be Executed This Week Wants All-Women Lethal Injection Team

Inmate Pascale Humphries, scheduled for execution in Tennessee this week, has requested that the lethal injection team consist entirely of women. Humphries stated that the presence of men during her execution could cause her trauma. Humphries is the first woman sentenced to death in Tennessee in 200 years. Tennessee Department of Correction officials have not publicly announced whether the request will be granted.
