Supersonic Russian jets trigger joint scramble by NATO allies amid Putin 'clowns' jab

Finnish F/A-18 Hornets and Swedish Gripens scrambled jointly for the first time to intercept supersonic Russian military jets over the Gulf of Finland. Finland's Defense Ministry said the Russian aircraft were identified and did not enter Finnish airspace. Sweden and Finland, both NATO members as of 2023 and 2024 respectively, conducted the joint interception in their shared defense area.
