Giant Pandas, Icons of China’s Soft Diplomacy, Arrive in Atlanta

A male giant panda named Ping Ping and a female named Fu Shuang arrived at Zoo Atlanta on Sunday. China's government confirmed the transfer as part of its panda diplomacy program. The arrival followed Chinese leader Xi Jinping's announcement that he would send giant pandas to the United States.
