Kongsberg CEO Eirik Lie stated that the company has observed increased European defense spending over the past year, though current levels remain below what the company considers necessary. Lie made the comments ahead of NATO's July summit in Ankara, where European NATO members are expected to demonstrate progress toward a 5 percent GDP defense spending target. Kongsberg manufactures missiles and other defense systems.
