RNC rips Beshear's 'woke trans record' over veto of Kentucky girls' sports bill

Kentucky Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear vetoed legislation that would prohibit transgender athletes from competing on sports teams consistent with their gender identity. Beshear stated his party does not "throw anybody under the bus" when defending the veto. The Republican National Committee criticized the veto in a statement. Kentucky's legislature has the authority to override a gubernatorial veto with a supermajority vote.
