High-spending online gamblers to face financial risk checks

The UK Gambling Commission announced that online gamblers who wager more than £1,000 within a 24-hour period will be required to complete a financial risk assessment. The regulator said operators must implement these checks as part of consumer protection measures. The requirement applies to all licensed online gambling platforms operating in the UK.
