Inflation Keeps Pressure on the Fed

Neil Dutta, an economist at Renaissance Macro Research, said on Bloomberg This Weekend that the U.S. labor market has stabilized while persistent inflation could prompt the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates faster than investors currently anticipate. Dutta cited rising food and energy costs as risks to inflation expectations and stated that inflation remains the more pressing concern relative to the Fed's dual mandate of price stability and maximum employment.
