Iran's foreign ministry said the country will await an official U.S. response after President Trump rejected a proposal to open the Strait of Hormuz within seven days. Trump stated that Iran made the proposal because "they're losing so badly." The Strait of Hormuz is a strategic waterway through which a significant portion of global oil shipments pass.
