Shaun Cassidy says teen idol fame trapped him before he made drastic career move at 21

Shaun Cassidy ended his touring career following a performance at the Astrodome when he was 21 years old. Cassidy said at the time that celebrity fame made him feel isolated and compared his experience to Elvis Presley's. He did not resume touring after that show.
