Kids turned the comment section of an NPR podcast into a group chat

Middle school students used the Spotify comment section of an NPR podcast episode titled Wild Card to exchange messages with each other. The episode of This American Life, hosted by Ira Glass, examined how the students began using the comment section and their reasons for doing so. According to NPR, the students appeared to lack access to other messaging platforms or social networks.
