Blackstone Cements Shift From Star Dealmakers With Baratta Exit

Jon Gray, Blackstone's president and chief operating officer, has consolidated power following the departure of senior dealmaker Enrique Baratta. Baratta, who had led Blackstone's Latin America operations and held the title of senior managing director, left the firm in recent weeks. Gray has been with Blackstone since 1998 and was named president and COO in 2021.
