Thieves Stole ‘Nvidia’ Trailers. They Got 20 Tons of Sand

Thieves stole two trailers they believed contained Nvidia computer chips from a facility in California in January 2026, but the trailers held approximately 20 tons of sand instead. Nvidia had reportedly replaced high-value cargo with sand as a theft deterrent. Police recovered the trailers and arrested suspects in connection with the theft.
