Endometriosis diagnosis set to be sped up with two new tests carried out by GPs
Tuesday, July 7, 2026
Two new diagnostic tests for endometriosis will be available to general practitioners in the UK, according to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence. The tests are designed to identify the condition earlier than current methods. Patients currently wait an average of nine years from symptom onset to diagnosis. The tests will be implemented in general practice settings to reduce diagnostic delays.
