Tesla poised to scale production of heavy-duty Semi trucks with opening of Nevada factory

Tesla announced plans to open a factory in Sparks, Nevada for production of its Semi heavy-duty trucks. The facility represents Tesla's first dedicated manufacturing plant for the Semi model. Tesla has previously produced the Semi at limited volumes at its Austin, Texas factory. The company has received orders for the Semi from logistics companies including PepsiCo and Walmart.
