Bob Pettit, basketball great who was named the NBA’s first MVP, dies at 93

Bob Pettit, a forward for the St. Louis Hawks, died at age 93. He won the NBA MVP award in 1956, the first year the award was given. Pettit led the Hawks to an NBA championship in 1958.
