Soros-linked prosecutor faces primary challenge as fellow Democrat targets his record

Fairfax County Commonwealth's Attorney Stephen Descano faces a Democratic primary challenge from a former federal prosecutor. The challenger has cited what he characterizes as mishandled cases in the office. Descano was elected in 2019 and re-elected in 2023.
