Greek PM urges Burnham to return Elgin Marbles permanently

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis urged UK Labour Mayor Andy Burnham to support the permanent return of the Elgin Marbles to Greece. Burnham stated in 2023 that the sculptures should be returned to Greece with "no strings attached." The Elgin Marbles, a collection of classical Greek sculptures, are currently held in the British Museum in London.
