NASCAR Hall of Famer diagnosed with frontotemporal degeneration, possible CTE from racing

Darrell Waltrip, a NASCAR Hall of Famer, has been diagnosed with frontotemporal degeneration with possible CTE, according to his family. Frontotemporal degeneration is a progressive neurodegenerative disease affecting the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain. His family attributed the possible CTE to his racing career.
