China Plans Inclusion of New Products for Swap Connect Expansion
Thursday, September 24, 2026
China plans to expand its derivatives trading link with Hong Kong by granting global investors access to two onshore interest-rate products with standardized contracts, according to Reuters reporting. The expansion would allow investors outside mainland China to trade these products through the existing connection mechanism. The move aims to broaden the range of financial instruments available through the cross-border trading arrangement.
