U.S.-China trade truce extended for two months, Bessent says, as Xi begins state visit

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen announced an extension of the U.S.-China trade agreement through January 10, 2026, according to a statement. The agreement had been scheduled to expire in November 2025. Yellen said the extension was contingent on China meeting additional commitments under the deal.
