Blood tests find high level of cancer-causing forever chemical in residents near factory

Residents living near a chemical factory in Lancashire have tested positive for elevated levels of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, known as PFAS, according to blood test results. PFAS are synthetic chemicals used in industrial manufacturing. The factory's operator has not yet issued a statement regarding the findings or the source of the contamination.
