Oil Companies Taking Advantage of American Public, Says Rep. Burchett

Representative Tim Burchett of Tennessee introduced legislation to restrict diesel exports. According to Bloomberg, Burchett stated that oil companies are "compounding the problem" with prices at the pump and said "the American public is getting gouged." Burchett attributed the price increases to what he characterized as a monopoly in the oil industry.
