Chinese Wind Turbine Makers Mull Partners to Break Into Europe

China's largest wind turbine manufacturers are exploring partnerships with European companies to increase market entry in Europe, according to Reuters reporting. The effort follows regulatory and trade barriers that have made it challenging for Chinese firms to secure major contracts in the region. Companies including state-backed China National Electric Engineering and private manufacturer MySE have held discussions with potential European partners. The European wind energy market generated approximately 15 gigawatts of new capacity in 2024, making it a significant target for expansion.
