Ambassador Jeff Bartos: UN must abandon anti-American, anti-Western legacy of Durban Conference

Jeff Bartos, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, stated that the 1993 Durban Conference established positions opposing the United States and Western nations. The conference, held in South Africa, included statements from Cuban leader Fidel Castro and is identified as a source document for the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement targeting Israel. Bartos called for the U.N. to move away from the positions adopted at that conference.
