OpenAI nabs key Patreon execs ahead of upcoming announcement

OpenAI hired Sam Yam, Drew Rowny, and Shannon Ma from Patreon. Yam, Patreon's co-founder and technology chief, announced on X that he is joining OpenAI to lead Creator Product. Rowny previously served as Patreon's product head and Ma as its engineering head. OpenAI has not announced details of the role or timing beyond Yam's statement.
