'Extremely dangerous' Hurricane Polo intensifies to rare category 5 storm

Hurricane Polo intensified to Category 5 strength off the coast of Mexico, according to the National Hurricane Center. The agency described the storm's rapid strengthening as "truly remarkable." Category 5 hurricanes have sustained winds of at least 157 miles per hour.
