South Africa Taps Gulf Know-How for $9.5 Billion Property Plan

Middle East sovereign wealth funds advised South Africa to establish a fundraising vehicle for a new state firm designed to manage the country's property portfolio valued at 155 billion rand, or approximately $9.5 billion. The funds, which collectively hold trillions in assets, provided the recommendation as part of broader planning for the property management initiative. South Africa has not yet announced whether it will adopt the recommendation or a timeline for implementation.
