Missouri mom who put newborn in oven instead of crib learns fate as murder charge dropped

Mariah Thomas of Kansas City was charged in connection with an incident in February 2024 in which an infant was found with severe burns. Thomas told police she mistook an oven for a crib. A murder charge against Thomas was dropped, according to court records.
