Bryan Kohberger didn't understand what he was doing when he pleaded guilty: unsealed memo

Bryan Kohberger's former attorneys stated in a court filing that he had difficulty understanding court proceedings prior to pleading guilty in the case involving the deaths of four University of Idaho students in November 2022. The filing was unsealed following Kohberger's guilty plea, which occurred in June 2024. Kohberger was charged in connection with the deaths of Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernohan, and Ethan Chapin in Moscow, Idaho.
