Stanley Cup champion coach is down with nuking the preseason: 'Guys just want to play'

Rod Brind'Amour, head coach of the Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes, said the NHL preseason should be eliminated entirely. Brind'Amour stated that players prefer to begin regular season play without preparatory games. The Hurricanes won the Stanley Cup in 2025.
