This 'fire amoeba' pushes the limit of what's possible for complex life

Scientists identified a species of amoeba capable of reproducing at 145 degrees Fahrenheit and moving at temperatures up to 147 degrees Fahrenheit. The discovery represents the highest temperature tolerance documented for complex eukaryotic life, according to the research. The amoeba was given the name fire amoeba based on its heat-survival capability.
