Sri Lanka court convicts 15 men over deadly Easter Sunday bombings

A Sri Lankan court convicted 15 men in connection with the April 2019 Easter Sunday bombings that killed 269 people across churches and hotels in Colombo and other cities. The attacks were followed by a series of additional bombings and shootings that brought the death toll to 279. The convictions were announced after a trial that examined evidence related to the coordinated suicide bombings carried out by members of a local militant group.
