AI malware can rewrite itself to evade detection

Google's Threat Intelligence Group identified malware called PROMPTFLUX that uses Gemini to automatically rewrite its own code every hour to avoid detection. The malware was documented in a report by Google researchers. The capability allows the malicious software to change its structure repeatedly while maintaining its core function.
