Oil Analyst Sankey Sees ‘Very Elevated’ Market Through End of 2027

Paul Sankey, president of Sankey Research, said US refining capacity constraints are creating tightness in the oil market, with diesel prices reaching new record highs. Sankey stated that a potential US diesel export ban and current refining limitations could affect global oil markets through the end of 2026 and into 2027. He made these comments during an appearance on Bloomberg Surveillance.
