James Talarico Called Sex Ed ‘Maybe the Most Important Topic’ Students Learn in School

James Talarico, a Texas Democrat who is running for U.S. Senate, questioned parental opt-in requirements for sex education during his time in the state House. Talarico described sex education as "maybe the most important topic" students learn about in school. He expressed concern that opt-in policies would reduce the number of students receiving such instruction.
