Martha's Rule rolled out at every A&E department in England

A protocol called Martha's Rule, named after 13-year-old Martha Mills who died in 2022, has been implemented across all accident and emergency departments in England. The rule allows patients and their families to request a clinical review if they believe care decisions are unsafe or inappropriate. Martha Mills died at a hospital after her family raised concerns about her treatment that were not acted upon.
