Woman Wanted for Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash in El Paso Arrested at Texas Border After Year in Mexico

Melanie Christine Cuellar, 29, was arrested by Eagle Pass Police Department officers assigned to the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force at the Camino Real Port of Entry on Thursday. Cuellar was wanted in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash in El Paso in 2025. She is being held on charges related to the incident.
