GM can’t ‘bring back’ Apple CarPlay because it never left

General Motors announced a new software experience for upcoming Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. GM had removed these phone mirroring systems from some of its electric vehicles in 2023. The announcement applies to new truck models, not retroactively to vehicles already in service.
