Workers came across human remains – and unearthed a mass grave of 572 people

Workers in northern Sri Lanka discovered a mass grave containing 572 human remains during construction activities. Sri Lankan authorities have begun an investigation into the site. The discovery occurred in an area affected by the country's civil war, which ended in 2009.
