DHS chief fires back at Jayapal over claim majority of immigration arrests pose 'no threat'

Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin rejected Representative Pramila Jayapal's statement that most Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrests over the summer involved individuals posing no threat to public safety. Mullin cited families of victims killed by individuals in the country illegally, known as angel families, in his response. Jayapal, a Washington Democrat, had made the claim regarding summer arrest data.
