'Devoted' father and grandfather-to-be swimming at popular beach killed in suspected shark attack

Greg O'Neill, 63, died after being attacked by a shark at Sorrento Beach in Perth, Western Australia on February 8, 2026. Authorities issued a catch-and-kill order for sharks in the area following the incident. O'Neill was swimming at the time of the attack.
