Katalyst's satellite rescue mission is now in pursuit of NASA's Swift

Katalyst's Link spacecraft has begun pursuit of NASA's Swift observatory, an X-ray telescope launched in 2004. The rendezvous is expected to take several weeks. Link is designed to dock with and deorbit Swift, which has completed its primary science mission. NASA and Katalyst announced the partnership in 2024 to test commercial satellite servicing capabilities.
