Richard Branson’s wife could have survived with crucial medication, coroner finds

A British coroner determined that Lady Joan Branson's death from a pulmonary embolism following a fall on Necker Island could have been prevented with blood thinner medication. The coroner's finding indicated that the blood clot condition was survivable with appropriate anticoagulant treatment after the incident. Lady Joan Branson was the wife of Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group.
