Congressman Tom Barrett: 'Being a socialist should disqualify him for people's consideration in my district'

Michigan Congressman Tom Barrett is competing against William Lawrence, founder of the Sunrise Movement, in the seventh district race based in Lansing. Barrett stated that socialism should disqualify a candidate from consideration by voters in his district. Lawrence has not publicly identified as a socialist.
