Gabby Petito's mother urges public 'ripple effect' to help find the missing 5 years after daughter's murder

Nichole Schmidt, mother of Gabby Petito, said that distributing missing person flyers creates a "ripple effect" similar to efforts that led to the recovery of Elizabeth Smart. Petito was found dead in Wyoming in September 2021, months after disappearing during a cross-country trip. Schmidt made the statement five years after her daughter's death.
