FCC lets Paramount sell 49.5% equity stake to Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Qatar

The Federal Communications Commission approved Paramount Global's sale of a 49.5 percent equity stake to investors from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. The approval came after the FCC reviewed concerns about foreign ownership of media assets. Paramount will retain majority control of the company with 50.5 percent ownership following the transaction.
