Judge says issues in Trump administration anti-weaponization case 'alive and kicking' despite DOJ push

A federal judge questioned whether the Trump administration's Anti-Weaponization Fund has actually ceased operations or if the Department of Justice Judgment Fund functions as a replacement. Judge Brinkema raised the question during a proceeding related to the fund's status. The Trump administration established the Anti-Weaponization Fund to provide legal defense funds to individuals it identified as targets of what it characterized as politicized prosecutions. The DOJ has asserted the fund is no longer operational.
