Tata Sons Power Struggle Deepens as Chandra’s Return a Setback for Noel

Ratan Tata, chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, returned to an advisory role with the conglomerate in October 2024 following the departure of N. Chandrasekaran as group chief executive. Chandrasekaran had served as chief executive since 2017 before stepping down. Tata Sons is controlled by Tata Trusts, which holds approximately 66 percent of the company.
