Thursday, September 17, 2026

President Donald Trump's tax legislation reduced rates across income brackets. According to Treasury Department analysis, households earning over $1 million annually received an average tax cut of $69,000, while households earning between $50,000 and $75,000 received an average cut of $800. Republicans cited economic growth and job creation as benefits of the legislation, while Democrats argued the cuts disproportionately favored high earners and corporations.
