There were not one, but two asteroid encounters this weekend

Two asteroids passed near Earth between Saturday and Sunday. The larger asteroid, Torifune, has an elongated shape resembling a peanut, according to NASA observations. The second asteroid passed at a greater distance. Both objects remained outside the Moon's orbital path.
